Licensing and Game Check
For licensing or game check assistance, please call 614-265-6300 between 6 a.m.-10 p.m. ET, or you may email us at: wildinfo@dnr.ohio.gov.
The online transaction fee is how the agency pays for maintenance and support of the system. The fee is assessed per transaction (not per product) for any recreational license or permit with an associated cost.
The fee is only assessed online (internet, mobile, and mobile app).
Specialty/Business Permits
An online fee of 10% is assessed to cover the cost of maintaining and supporting the specialty permit portion of the licensing system.
Logging In and Creating Accounts
Linking an account allows users to act on another's behalf to make a purchase, complete game check, or register them for events. There are two types of linked accounts, Peer-to-Peer and Guardian-to-Member.
- Guardians may access the profile of their associated Members to access profile information. This allows parents or other adults to manage children member profiles.
- In Peer-to-Peer relationships, access to other profiles is not allowed, maintaining the adult customer’s privacy.
Linked Users may have different options depending on age. The table below shows the options available for the account you are linking with, and associated permissions/actions with each type.

Our vendor, PayIt Outdoors, has limited online access for youth under the age of 13 to comply with Federal COPPA requirements. To make an online purchase, register for an event or class, or complete a game check, a guardian must link their account to the youth's.
See What is a Linked Account?" for information.
1.) Click on your customer profile at the top of the screen, and click on 'Linked Users'.
2.) Click on the 'Link a User' button.
3.) Enter the other customer's information in the search box.
4.) Select the type of connection. (see 'What is a Linked Account?' for more information about types of linked accounts and what controls are available.)
PayIt Outdoors is the contractor who has been hired to support the Division of Wildlife's license system.
Before accessing or creating your license account, you will need to create a unique login username using an email address.
Note, this login email must be unique in the system. If you or one of your family members needs to create one, Google, Microsoft, AOL, and Yahoo all offer free email accounts.
Whether you are a new customer or an existing customer, before purchasing a license online you must first create a secure login using an email address and secure password.
- Enter your Email Address. Note: the username must be a unique email address. If you need to create one, companies such as Google, Microsoft, AOL, and Yahoo offer free email accounts.
- Enter a secure Password.
You will be asked to verify the email address before proceeding. Check your email for a six-digit code, and type it in when asked.
- Enter your information. If you are an existing customer, we strongly encourage you to include your Customer ID to improve accuracy in account matching.
- If the system found a matching account, you will be asked to verify the account.
- If the system did not find a matching account, you will be asked to complete a new customer profile.
- Review the information on your profile, verify your residency, and Save.
